In the Culinary Culture and Gastronomic Aesthetics’ course, we had the pleasure of inviting our old friend, the professional food photography master, Mr. Liu Mingzong, to the campus for a delightful session of teaching food photography to our students! Mr. Liu generously shared some tips on capturing exquisite food photos, emphasizing the importance of befriending light. By mastering the use of light, even with a regular smartphone, one can achieve professional-grade food photography – quite impressive!
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Liu, our students’ works are on par with contemporary commercial photography. Through the curriculum design of ‘Culinary Culture and Gastronomic Aesthetics,’ students can unleash their gastronomic aesthetics and creativity. This not only applies to their daily lives but also opens doors to innovative and fulfilling career paths.
